Minister For The Environment Visited Prince & Princess Green Space
Surabaya, 24 April 2003 – Mr. Nabiel Makarim – the minister for the environment of Republic of Indonesia has visited the 1st Green Space of Prince & Princess of Environment TUNAS HIJAU Club – 24 April 2003 in the afternoon. Surabaya’s Mayor Mr. Bambang Dwi Hartono and his secretary joined in this visit. This visit to check Matoa trees – rare tree from Papua – that planted on this area. As we knew, minister gave some matoa trees to Prince & Princess of Environment 2002 on 22nd October 2002 in Jakarta.
Minister has also opened the sign board of Green Space of Prince & Princess of Environment and removed 25 birds to support birds and butterflies conservation in this green space.
Minister advised the Fellows Prince & Princess of Environment 2002 to keep the efforts to increase environment quality. “I’m really happy to all of you kids. Keep your efforts to increase environmental quality. If you had any problems don’t hesitate to send me mail and let me know. I’ll happy to always support you,” said Nabiel Makarim after receiving “No Trees No Future” pin from Prince of Environment Pramudhityo Dewantoro as a Project Director of Green Space.
